RRV Designs Inc. resurrected the tuna tees domain and url this past week to launch a new retail website. tunatees.com was their old website where people could design their own tshirt and have it printed. This is a totally new market idea … tshirts made by Christians. There are tons of Christian Tshirt websites … but founder and CEO Wayne Gooden wanted to take it in a little different direction. “Christians wear more than just tshirts with Christian type graphics … there are bikers, cheerleaders, farmers, …. all types of Christians who have a lot of different interests”. Plus Gooden was tired of not seeing any funny Christian or Church tshirts that were not slamming the church … so, he decided to do something about it. Thus … Tuna Tees. Sure, most of the designs stem from activities that he and his family are involved in … but that makes it more relevant. Gooden’s Baptist roots pokes fun at things that most Baptist would get … and very few others would like … “I brought Potato Salad to Covered Dish” or the “Can’t Dance Baptist” tshirt.
